Terry Wills is president of Wills Communications, Inc.
A highly respected marketing communications professional with more than 30 years of experience, Terry is regarded as one of the leading women in her industry today. She is a recognized expert in the areas of branding, crisis communications, corporate communications strategy and media relations.
Prior to establishing WCI in 1991, Terry served as senior vice president of the Corporate and Consumer Marketing Division of the then largest public relations company in the western United States, Rogers & Cowan, Inc. At R&C, she developed and managed programs for a variety of clients, including General Motors/Oldsmobile, RJ Reynolds, Giorgio Armani/Emporio Armani, Hilton Hotels Corporation’s Gaming Division, The United States Postal Service, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and Sebastian International, among others.
Before that, Terry served as vice president of the Corporate Division of Mahoney Communications acquired by Burson-Marsteller), where she developed and directed national campaigns for such clients as AT&T, the City of Palm Springs, Centinela Hospital Medical Center/The Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, Hilton Hotels Corporation and Hilton Gaming. She was also responsible for planning and promoting a number of special events ranging from international hotel openings to celebrity and professional golf tournaments, championship boxing, cycling exhibitions and auto racing.
Terry began her career in the marketing department of Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1983. After several years with Hilton, she was elected General Manager of the Beverly Hills Visitor Bureau, where she inspired the city’s 75th “Diamond Jubilee” Anniversary program, and developed and managed the destination marketing effort for the city.
Under Terry’s leadership, WCI has become one of the most respected boutique agencies in the western United States and has captured national attention for its efforts on behalf of such clients as Hyatt Hotels Corporation/Hyatt Resorts, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Warner Bros., Vivendi/Universal, Boston Market, DineEquity/IHOP/DineEquity, KISS Front Men Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley’s Rock & Brews restaurant/casino brand, OSI Restaurant Group, American Golf Corporation, the United States Postal Service, Pacific Theatres/Arclight, IMAX Corporation, Diedrich Coffee, numerous Las Vegas hotels & resorts, Madame Tussauds/The Tussauds Group, several destinations, Mandalay Entertainment and a variety of others in the travel, gaming, retail, real estate, medical, and affluent lifestyles industries.
